* Turn your juice into a sparkling soda.....mix any type juice (my fave is cran-grape) with and equal amount of seltzer water add crushed ice for a refreshing treat. Saves 100 calories.
* Order your sandwiches without mayo and save an easy 100 calories.
* Order a thin crust veggie pizza with 1/2 the cheese and save 250 calories.
* Go from 2% milk to 1% milk and save 30 calories
Over the course of a week that is almost 500 calories saved.
We are on the lookout for great calorie saving tips without sacrificing taste, so if you know of any please share them.
Have a blessed day. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength.

Official Start Date 1/05/2009
We are going to start on Monday, January 5th. I will be posting before pic's on that day....We aren't going to post our weight but we will post our measurments.....I want our focus to be on getting and maintaining strong healthy bodies and not be obsessed with weight, its only a number. We all have different body types and no certain weight looks good or is healthy for everyone. I want to instill positive body image in the minds of my girls......I want them to realize its more important to be strong and healthy and proud of the body God gave you than it is to try and fit into the weight controlled mindset of the world around us. I know we all need to loose weight but that is only one small reason for our foray into the world of getting physically fit. My goal is for us to get healthy and strong and learn a new life style of being good to our bodies. Its the only one we have and if we take care of it the right way then we will reap the benefits.
We are going to start slow and build...."Rome wasn't built in a day" as they say, and that is my motto........I think if we take it slow and make new habits we will be able to shed our overweight unfit bodies and reveal who God truly designed us to be. Too-da-loo.........off to go camping.
